If want ratcheting style go with Hein Warner. You're far better off spending the money on Escos if you want a tripod / pin style jack stand. I think for me if I was to buy these they'd be relegated to two duties: 1) storing something off the floor or ground where I would never get under it 2) As a support when I'm working on brakes etc where I don't get under the vehicle at all but don't want the vehicle smashing into the floor either. What's to say one of us doesn't get a set where the Friday shift didn't harden the pins correctly. I'd honestly want to know what kind of ISO and quality control standards are in place where this is being made. However you are now relying on that pin to not shear and carry the weight. Pinned jack stands are a lot safer than the ratcheting type. I mean I can slap a UL sticker on something and not get into trouble until sh*t hits the fan. Which certified testing lab was this destructively tested at? I'd want to see proof of that before I bought them. If you look at the description it says "ASME / PASE Certified". RAPID PUMPĀ® reaches working height in just 3-1/2 pumps. This style of jack will probably work fine inside a garage or on some solid footing but nowhere else because of the base size.
